## Chapter 9: Kobe Bryant. Bill Ackman. And The Great Creativity of Content Creation.

### 9.1 Introduction

What "infamous" 30-seconds-event happened to Kobe Bryant in 2018?

Did Bill Ackman really get a 10,000% return because of the Coronavirus Economic Crisis?

And how can both these surprising stories improve ALL of your content creation & creativity?

Listen to this episode to find out.

### 9.2 Kobe Doesn't Flinch

Commitment is everything. But not ANY kind of commitment.

A video on youtube is titled: "Kobe Doesn't Flinch".

In it, you see Matt Barnes standing in front of the legend himself.

Matt smirks a little.

...He had an idea brewing in his mind for days.

"What if he could do it?"

"What if he could make Kobe Bryant flinch?"

It was the perfect moment, the right opportunity...

So he did:

He extended his arm holding the ball to Kobe's face FAST.

It all happened in a milli-second of surprise.

"Did it shake Kobe?"

"Did it send shills down his spine?"

No, no, and no.

Kobe didn't flinch. Kobe held strong. He didn't even blink.

Kobe explained that moment in one of his interviews.

He mentioned: whenever he enters the court, he imagines himself Maximus Decimus Meridius in an early scene from the movie Gladiator.

Maximus, a general, crouches on the floor, takes a handful of earth, smells it, and 'IT IS ON'.

Maximus fully commits to his strategy... no more hesitation, no room for doubt, he will commit 1000% to every single thing he planned.

Kobe does the same:

His practice, his meditation, his method was to fully commit to EVERYTHING his subconscious guides him to do, with no second-guessing... never allowing any hesitation to enter his mind.

Full engagement, full commitment, a will of steel.

Because Kobe's secret to success is simple:

Commitment and full trust to his subconscious.

### 9.3 Bill Ackman: $27M into $2.6B

Because trusting yourself pays off.

For sure, it paid Bill Ackman.

Early this year, he was having breakfast in his New York Penthouse, when the news of COVID-19 broke out.

At first, it was a trickle, something people thought totally insignificant. Just another scare that will just... go away.

But Bill Ackman's gut rung all the alarms, red lights swirled in his head, and he heard his inner voice tell him: "This is THE opportunity of a lifetime".

Right away, without hesitation, without second guessing, with full trust, Bill did one thing:

He bet $27 million dollars against the Stock Market.

That move, at the time, was totally insane.

But was it?

The result: He turned $27 million dollars into a sweet $2.6 Billion in months.

He created his own luck, trusted his own gut, and it paid off BIG TIME.

And it's not his first time. Everywhere Bill Ackman goes, he confesses his best investments came from unexplainable hunches, not from numbers, charts, and analysis.

Because that's how the players at the highest level play: They let their gut guide them, while everyone else mistrusts their inner voice.

Even Nikola Tesla.

One day, sitting on the grass, enjoying the quiet of the main park in Budapest, it suddenly hit him!

A clear image of the Alternating Current engine came to his mind.

He didn't solve equations to figure it out.

He didn't create prototype after prototype.

His subconscious did all the work, and simply gave him the answer.

With no doubt or resistance, Nikola Tesla committed his whole life to making that engine a reality.

That simple hunch changed the history of humanity.

### 9.4 SIGMA Method

I used to do the complete opposite:

Even years after I came up with the StoryBonding Idea Generation Mathematics Method (or The SIGMA Method)...

Every idea I came up with, I doubted.

I felt it's not good enough. Or maybe that I'm not good enough.

"Do I want to be such a person, full of doubts?"

And the more I thought about it, the more everything pointed me to the Lesson from this Episode:

This modern world we live in is weird.

It makes us doubt ourselves. It pushes us to silence our inner voices. It tells us to mistrust our inner guide.

At the same time, it increases the volume on our hesitations. It feeds the critical voice in our heads. It muddles the important answers we have inside.

### 9.5 Lesson: Inner Compass

So, we StoryBonders, we have the courage to stand head held up high and say:

"I trust myself!"

"I will listen to my inner voice!"

"I will follow my inner guide, my inner compass!"

And that is what we do in EVERYTHING.

So, in creating content, when an idea comes up from your subconscious, the StoryBonding Way is to trust it, to know it is the right one, to trust that your subconscious knows best, and simply make it reality.

The ideas that bubble up are your TRUTH. And therefore, they will resonate. They will work. They will succeed.

### 9.6 Are You Trusting Your Gut?

Now, I turn to you:

Are you trusting your gut?

Do you follow your heart?

Do you embrace the ideas your subconscious gives you?

It's giving you hint after hint on the path that is right for you.

It has brought you here today for a reason, and it will keep doing things that benefit you.

Are you trusting it?

If not, how can you fix this?

How can you listen to yourself more, and shut down the doubts of the world?

This is an ideal, worth pursuing. This will change your life.

### 9.7 Death and Forgetting

And I leave you with this quote:

"We all die eventually, but the real tragedy is forgetting to live".

I will say that again:

"We all die eventually, but the real tragedy is forgetting to live"

These 12 words are worth memorizing, meditating over, and hearing again and again.

And maybe you're curious about creativity.

Then, I recommend to you this book: "A Technique For Producing Ideas" by James Webb Young.

It's not as sophisticated as the SIGMA StoryBonding Method, but it will do, it's a very solid quick read.

It's great.

#### 9.8 Conclusion

And next episode, we will discuss together:

Why did Vladimir Putin and Nikola Tesla swim in a special place called the "River of Rejection"?

And how can this understanding make you feel stronger, live better, and finally be ready for your success.

Don't miss out.
